“Art in the Church” – A Summer Exhibition

Part of the Medway Open Studios Programme for 2015

In July 2015 this amazing ancient church will host the works of local artists. If you are interested in being part of this unique show you can submit up to 4 pieces for selection. We welcome works in any medium – art, craft, music or film – with any subject, although we would especially love to see any pieces of art that reflect the church and its surrounds – the building, the churchyard, the marsh or the river.

Here’s a little bit of information about what you need to do get involved:

Step 1: send us your name, address, phone number and email address – by Email to: friends@stmaryschurchhigham.com OR post to: Katie Lee 6, Kent Terrace, Church Street, Higham, Rochester ME3 7LF. The closing date for this initial expression of interest is 2 March 2015

Step 2: We will send you a pack with loads more information – these packs will be sent out week beginning 23 March 2015 – the pack will include an Application Form which must be returned by 15 May 2015, along with the entry fee of £20 (for up to 4 pieces) This will be the only cost to you – we will not be taking commission on any sales you make.

Step 3: The Friends Group will select the pieces for Art in the Church and confirm with you week beginning 8 June 2015 if your art work(s) have been selected.

Step 4: You will need to bring your piece(s) to the church on 22 July 2015.

Step 5: You (plus up to 2 guests) are invited to a Private View at the Church on 24 July 2015 at 7.30pm

Step 6: Art in the Church will take place on 25 and 26 July between 11.00am and 5.00pm

Step 7: You must collect your art work(s) on 26 July 2015 between 5.00pm and 6.30pm
