Ring a Bell for the Queen!

As well as bells ringing in St Mary’s, on Saturday 4th June there will be an opportunity to come up and see the bell tower at St John’s (Hermitage Road, Higham, ME3 7DB) with a demonstration of change ringing by our resident band and the chance to ring a bell yourselves to honour the Queen for her 70thJubilee.

Tours will start at 11.00 hours and will last about 15. 20 minutes. The fee will be £5 and all proceeds will be split between the Tower Fund at St Johns and the Inspire Project at St Mary’s Church in Lower Higham. The last tour will be at midday.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

After your tour coffee/tea and cake will be available in the Church Hall for a small donation.

In the afternoon from 15.00 hours to 16.30 hours you can find us at St Mary’s Church where you will be able to chime the bells there too!

All donations towards the cost of the Inspire Project – to repair and make safe the church spire at St Mary’s – will be gratefully accepted.
