Folk at the church
The Kimberleys folk group are coming to St Mary’s on Saturday 28th October 2023. The performance will begin at 2.30pm. They will perform two sets of 45 minutes each. Light refreshments will be available to purchase during the intermission. For comfort you may want to bring a cushion to sit on as you will be sat on the church pews!
The Kimberleys are a multi instrumentalist duo based in London. Their repertoire is drawn from traditional folk songs of the British Isles. Their honest arrangements, exceptional musicianship and glorious familial harmonies combine to make an impact much greater than their two piece line up. It is magical to witness. Further information about the Kimberleys can be found on thier website at https://www.thekimberleys.org/ They will bring their CDs to sell.
As always, parking can be difficult at the Church so if you are able to walk or come by train that would be very helpful. The station is a one mile pleasant walk through the lower village and open fields.

Higham Station is about 1 mile from St Mary’s and is a pleasant walk through lower Higham and past open fields. Turn right out of the Station. At the top of the road turn right and go over the railway bridge. Follow the road a short way past some houses. You will come to a little junction with one road on your left, one straight ahead and one that goes round to the right. Take the road straight ahead of you (Church Street), follow this road past the houses then enjoy the view as you go past the open fields. The church is at the end of the road.
